What’s the difference?
As a writer, I develop or improve written content. Depending on the client, the purpose of the written material may be to sell, build awareness, provide information, or present a narrative.
As an editor, I plan, review, and revise content for publication. I read content and correct for errors in spelling, punctuation, grammar, consistency, style, and guidelines. Also, I may rewrite copy to make it easier for readers to understand, or offer suggestions to clarify the writer’s meaning and voice. I can also verify facts and correct flaws in your presentation.
As a proofreader, I find and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors.
What do I do? I do it all!
